The kick-off event was a great success!

June 2, 2008

Recently the official kick-off took place for the Hybrid Tuktuk Battle in the Netherlands. It was a great success, with attending guests showing their support for the battle teams and of course enjoying the party!

Located at the Waterfront of Rotterdam’s harbor, the hall was transformed to create an atmosphere of urban street life in India. The evening started off with complimentary drinks and Indian snacks followed by inspiring words shared by the director of Enviu, Stef van Dongen and chairman of the jury, Wubbo Ockels. However, the highlight of the event was introducing the battle teams to the public which was presented by Francisco van Jole. Not to mention the spectacular entrance of the tuktuk itself, whereby guests were also able to have their photo taken.

After the official proceedings of the evening, the party went into full swing with lively performances by DJ Rocks and Transformer di Roboter. This provided guests and Enviu members the opportunity to come together, sharing ideas and celebrating the beginning of the exciting year that is to come!

Mini Kick-Off

May 20, 2008

Recently the mini kick-off for TU Delft and TU Eindhoven took place. As we draw closer to the official kick-off for the Netherlands we would like to wish them good luck!

We are very happy to announce that the mini kick-off’s were a success! The team members from TU Delft showed a lot of enthusiasm, displaying their battle spirit with their very own team shirts. These events also gave both teams the opportunity to become familiar with the auto rickshaw as they checked out the different possibilities for a hybrid motor, and of course, had the chance to take the auto rickshaw for a spin!

Check out their blogsites and show your support!
